Utility Technician Savvy Staffing is seeking a Utility Technician to join our client's production team. This is a hands-on technical manufacturing position supporting the production, assembly, testing, repair, and maintenance of specialized high-altitude and full-pressure helmets and related life-support equipment. Job Responsibilities Support helmet production from shell lay-up and surface finishing through component integration and final testing. Assemble, disassemble, and test high-altitude helmets and related hardware. Perform repairs, overhaul, and rework on helmets and components. Conduct pressure retention (leak) tests and static pressure tests. Support the fabrication, assembly, and testing of helmet visors and sunshades. Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment, test equipment, and paint guns. Read and follow engineering drawings, fabrication instructions, and test procedures. Troubleshoot and identify small mechanical or assembly issues. Maintain accurate production records, inventory, and material usage. Order materials as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Work with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Government Inspectors as required. Cross-train in other areas of Life Support Equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of related technical, mechanical, manufacturing, or repair experience preferred. Experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring tools. Ability to read a tape measure or machinist's scale. Ability to read analog and digital meters, including pressure, flow, temperature, and torque devices. Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and written procedures. Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with excellent hand-eye coordination. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Basic math skills. Basic computer skills, including email, timecard entry, and completing forms. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Preferred Experience The following experience is helpful but not required : Aircrew life-support or flight-equipment technical training. Military technical school training related to aircrew life-support equipment. Aircraft or automotive body repair. Experience using paint sprayers. Related mechanical or hands-on hobby experience. Pay:
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
