Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Fiber Splicer to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic cables to ensure seamless high-speed data transmission. Responsibilities Install and splice fiber optic cables with precision, following industry standards and safety protocols Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on existing fiber networks to ensure optimal performance Operate heavy equipment such as trenchers, bucket trucks, and cable pullers safely and efficiently on construction sites Use hand tools and power tools to prepare cables, connectors, and splicing enclosures for installation or repair Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning fiber optic components during installation projects Maintain detailed records of all splicing activities, tests performed, and equipment used for quality assurance Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate site access, rigging plans, and equipment setup in various environments including oil & gas facilities or other industrial sites Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various tools and equipment Proficiency in rigging techniques and mechanical systems used in fiber optic installations Skilled in using hand tools or power tools for precise work Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and efficient project execution Valid driving license with experience operating large vehicles in diverse terrains Knowledge of the oil & gas industry standards related to infrastructure installation and maintenance Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering reliable connectivity solutions!
