Job Description
Warranty Electronics Technician We're seeking an experienced Electronics Warranty Technician to join a highly respected engineering organization that develops mission-critical communication systems used throughout government, aviation, and public safety environments. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, testing, and documenting electronic equipment returned under warranty. If you enjoy troubleshooting complex electronic assemblies, performing component-level repairs, and solving technical problems instead of repetitive production work, this is an excellent opportunity. You'll work alongside engineering and quality teams to identify failure trends while helping improve future product reliability. Responsibilities Troubleshoot electronic assemblies and communication equipment Perform component-level diagnostics and repairs Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings Replace defective electronic components Perform soldering and electronic rework Test repaired assemblies using electronic test equipment Verify proper operation before product release Document repair findings and corrective actions Support Engineering with failure analysis Follow IPC workmanship standards Maintain ESD-safe work practices Help identify recurring failures and recommend improvements Qualifications Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics or similar experience Experience repairing electronic equipment at the board/component level Strong soldering and rework experience Ability to read electrical schematics Experience using: Digital Multimeters Oscilloscopes Electronic test equipment Familiarity with IPC standards preferred Strong troubleshooting skills Excellent attention to detail Preferred Experience Electronics manufacturing Warranty repair Depot repair Military electronics Aerospace electronics Telecommunications equipment Industrial controls Medical device electronics
