ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

Duties

• You will plan, coordinate, and lead complex Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) and electromagnetic compatibility research, development, and test events for systems.
• You will configure, calibrate, and operate advanced radio frequency (RF) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test instrumentation to collect and analyze technical performance data.
• You will evaluate test results to identify electromagnetic interference issues, recommend corrective engineering solutions, and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
• You will provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise to engineers, program offices, and integrated product teams to ensure compliance with standards.
• You will serve as the technical lead during test events, managing daily site operations, enforcing safety protocols, and mentoring junior technicians and engineers. Requirements Conditions of employment

• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Functional Area and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established timeframes.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.

You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DT-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Planning, coordinating, and managing test schedules, resource allocation, and equipment maintenance budgets for multiple stakeholders while mitigating operational risks in a dynamic testing environment; 2) Conducting hands-on system integration, validation, verification, and Test & Evaluation (T&E) of systems and hardware; 3) Interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to execute established test procedures, document technical data, and contribute to formal Reports of Test Results (RTRs); and 4) Performing hands-on troubleshooting, physical inspection, and diagnostic analysis of equipment failures to support engineering investigations, and leading test execution crews while enforcing safety protocols and training junior personnel.
