  • Full-time About the Role We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented Fiber Installation Technician to join our team.
In this role, your primary focus will be installing underground conduit and fiber optic cable to connect residential homes to our fiber network. You will play a vital role in building reliable infrastructure that delivers high-speed internet directly to our customers. Key Responsibilities Install underground conduit and pull fiber optic cable to residential properties (FTTH). Operate hand tools, trenching equipment, and/or directional boring equipment to place conduit. Set up and maintain pedestals, handholes, and other fiber access points. Pull, route, and secure fiber cable through conduit systems. Perform basic fiber splicing, termination, and testing as required. Restore job sites to safe and presentable conditions after installation. Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with local codes and company standards. Communicate effectively with homeowners and team members about work performed. Qualifications Experience in underground utility installation, conduit placement, or fiber optic work preferred (training provided for motivated candidates). Ability to safely operate digging, trenching, or boring equipment is a plus. Comfortable with physical outdoor work, including digging, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and working in varying weather conditions. Knowledge of fiber installation and testing equipment (OTDR, power meters) is an asset. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
