The Electrical Technician I will select, measure, and prepare electrical wiring and perform instrument startup, calibration, and function and safety testing on the product. The Electrical Technician I will be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions. This position is onsite in Allen Park, MI.As a Electrical Technician I, you will be responsible for:
Assembling, installing, and performing functional and safety tests on wiring using hand tools and proper assembly techniques by following work instructions (prints, cut sheets, sample harnesses)Following blueprints, bill of materials (BOM), schematics, and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)Tracking inventory of project parts and suppliesValidating the quality of wire harness assemblyTearing down and reworking donor harnessesCollaborating on cross functional project teamsParticipating in daily shop organization and clean-upTo be considered as a Electrical Technician I, you will need:
High school diploma or equivalentProficiency with hand and power toolsAbility to understand electronic schematics and electronic part documentationEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work overtime and weekendsA successful candidate may also have:2 year's of electrical technician experience utilizing multimeters, and experience soldering & crimpingExperience with automotive powertrain systems or electric battery systemsKnowledge of vehicle systems (powertrain, chassis, electrical, thermal, exteriors, interiors, etc.) and related components, component materials & fastenersOur full-time benefits include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, earned sick time, STD, LTD, 401K, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, paid holidays, and more.
