Job Title:
Test Technician Job Description The candidate will be responsible for the overall operation of the chassis dyno at the Allen Park Test Lab. This role involves testing 4-5 vehicles per shift on the chassis dynos and requires the candidate to physically drive the vehicles on the dyno. The setup includes attaching exhaust equipment to the vehicle for emissions data collection. Proficiency in operating a chassis dyno is required. Responsibilities Operate and manage the chassis dyno for vehicle testing. Conduct emissions testing by attaching necessary exhaust equipment to vehicles. Collect and analyze emissions data. Perform troubleshooting and calibration of test equipment. Ensure accurate and efficient data collection during tests. Essential Skills 1+ years of experience with dyno operations. Strong automotive technical aptitude, particularly in dyno operation. Strong diagnostic skills related to test system instrumentation and vehicle diagnostics. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with CAN diagnostic and flashing tools (e.g., DET tool, Canalyzer). Strong technical writing skills. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to make presentations in front of large groups. Motivated self-starter capable of handling multiple tasks and adjusting to changing requirements. Customer satisfaction focus. Work Environment The role is based in a clean lab setting, with a flexible work schedule. Training will occur on the 1st shift (7am to 3:30pm) for 4
- 6 weeks, followed by transitioning to the 2nd shift (3pm
