Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Automation Technical Support Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in industrial automation and fluid power who also enjoys assisting customers with troubleshooting and product inquiries. The position requires a combination of technical expertise and exceptional communication skills to resolve issues and enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for industrial automation products, including HMIs, drives, sensors, pneumatics, actuators, and other control components. Assist customers with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and problem resolution via phone, email, or live chat. Serve as the first point of contact for customers, offering exceptional customer service and product guidance. Document customer interactions, technical issues, and solutions in the company's ERP system. Collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to provide accurate technical information and support product selection. Guide customers through installation procedures and operational best practices. Stay up to date with the latest automation technologies and company product offerings. Process customer request for quotes. Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and provide ongoing support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Technical background in industrial automation, fluid power, mechatronics, or a related field. Experience with industrial networking and troubleshooting automation systems is a plus. Proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to create and interpret technical drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple inquiries and work efficiently under pressure. Experience with an ERP is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
