Electronics Installation Technician- Coopersville, MI Company Overview:

Position Summary:
The Electronics Installation Technician works directly with our customers to apply the latest integrated electronics to their home and lifestyle. Techs are responsible for the installation, repair, and programming of sophisticated electronic equipment, structured wiring, enterprise grade network systems, interior shading solutions, exterior retractable screen solutions, distributed audio and video, and lighting control systems. Including home theater and media rooms, whole home audio, automated lighting, motorized shades, design and engineering, wireless speakers, and home audio integration. This position works directly with all Bekins clientele in their home to provide award-winning customer service, leaving a positive impression of Bekins with the customer, interior designer, general contractor, and any other workers on the project. Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm. Starting at $20/hr+, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
Systems installation and commissioning done to Bekins high-quality standards Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, hardware specifications and technical manuals Above average mathematical analytical skills Professional and efficient installation methods, per specifications and operational procedures Projection of a professional image of yourself and Bekins through significant exposure to the customer Thorough testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution Initial client orientation and training of system on project completion Basic working knowledge of IP networking and terminology Proficient in rack assembly/ construction Utilization of power tools to repair, install, test and align integrated electronic systems Safe ladder use when lifting and climbing ladders to install and repair Communication skills to explain systems clearly and concisely to customers - training them in how to use their new products Thorough job completion and excellent service
Qualifications:
1-3 years of Electronics Installation experience preferred Have an interest in the latest electronic products, systems, devices and tools Experience in low voltage electronics preferred Find enjoyment in helping the customer get the right product installed and programmed to their specifications and preferences Have an aptitude for detailed work Be proficient in network troubleshooting / network system support / setting up of and connecting to networks Be proficient in setting up of apps Be thorough and consistent in documenting work performed on appropriate forms Proficient use of basic hand and power tools (prefer your own set of tools) Experience with Lutron, Crestron, and Control 4 preferred Experience in lighting control systems, motorized shades/window treatments preferred Safely travel to worksites - maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a clean and professional manner
