Repair Technician

is seeking a skilled Repair Technician for a 2nd shift opportunity supporting operations onsite at GM Flint. This role is ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting abilities, mechanical or electrical repair experience, and the ability to work directly with production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This technician will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving tooling issues directly on the assembly line to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Key Responsibilities Respond to tooling breakdowns and issues on the assembly line at the GM Flint plant Diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, and DC power tooling in a production environment Work directly with line workers and plant supervisors to identify problems and provide timely solutions Maintain accurate records in the company's tool management system, including issue tracking, repair history, shipping status, and calibration process updates Troubleshoot and support tool performance to ensure minimal disruption to plant operations Communicate effectively with plant personnel regarding repairs, maintenance updates, and equipment status Support preventive maintenance efforts and continuous improvement initiatives when needed Required Qualifications Minimum of 2+ years of experience working with electrical, pneumatic, and/or DC power tooling in a production environment Strong communication and problem-resolution skills Good computer skills with the ability to document repairs and track equipment in internal systems Ability to work independently in a manufacturing plant environment while collaborating with production teams Preferred Experience Strong mechanical or electrical repair background Previous experience in machine maintenance, automotive repair, or industrial maintenance Hands-on mechanic experience, including working on personal vehicles, is considered a strong plus If you have strong troubleshooting skills and enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, let's connect!
