Job ResponsibilitiesSet up and conduct mechanical and hydraulic product testing according to established test specifications and procedures.
Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and project instructions to determine testing requirements and objectives.
Configure, adjust, and maintain testing equipment to support product evaluation.
Fabricate, assemble, and modify mechanical components, fixtures, and test equipment as needed.
Create detailed sketches and drawings to support fabrication and test setup.
Perform testing of hydraulic components to verify product performance and quality standards.
Record, organize, and maintain test data, samples, and documentation.
Inspect components using dimensional measuring equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
Troubleshoot test equipment and assist with equipment maintenance as needed.
Follow laboratory, manufacturing, and safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanical technician or in a technical or laboratory environment, or 4 years of related experience without a degree or certification.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and mechanical testing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
Experience performing dimensional inspections using measuring instruments.
Familiarity with data acquisition equipment and inspection tools.
Basic mathematical skills, including calculations and graph interpretation.
Ability to effectively learn and apply new technologies.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Experience with PC-based control systems is preferred.
Experience with measurement systems, instrumentation wiring, and data acquisition systems is preferred.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
This position is located at an ITAR-regulated facility. Applicants must meet U.S. person requirements in accordance with applicable federal regulations.
EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
Work ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical testing, laboratory operations, manufacturing, or a related technical environment required.
Four years of related technical or laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of formal education or certification.
Experience with hydraulic component testing is preferred.

$24.00 per hour26-07656Job SummaryOur client is seeking a Mechanical Technician I to support the testing, assembly, and evaluation of hydraulic and mechanical components in a laboratory and manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for setting up and conducting product tests, maintaining testing equipment, fabricating test fixtures and mechanical assemblies, and documenting test results.
