Job Title:
ISG Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance and Technical Support Technician to join our team. You will have the opportunity to leverage your technical skills and learning abilities in various teams, with the potential to manage project responsibilities and mentor other technicians. The role involves working in the lab focusing on troubleshooting test cell systems, calibrating instrumentation, and performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair test cell facility components including drive systems, fuel systems, dynamometers, pumps, heaters, and heat exchangers. Collect motor vibration data, replace filters, and install and calibrate cell transducers. Fabricate and wire specialty equipment using existing and purchased parts. Install, calibrate, set up, and troubleshoot exhaust gas emission measurement equipment. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance work on AVL equipment. Essential Skills 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance. Proficiency in equipment calibration and maintenance. Strong troubleshooting skills in both electrical and mechanical systems. Problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills. High School Diploma required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in emissions testing or emissions lab environment is beneficial. Familiarity with Horiba and AVL equipment is advantageous. Comfortable working on 480VAC and 1000VDC systems. Ability to read and understand technical documents and follow procedures. Welding and fabrication skills without clear direction are a plus. Associates Degree is a nice-to-have. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in the Lab, supporting emission testing operations within a clean, climate-controlled, indoor lab environment. The maintenance team operates 24/7, with multiple shifts available. Flexible scheduling allows for a work-life balance, with opportunities to train on the first shift and work on a variety of rotating schedules. The facility is managed with a focus on safety and efficiency, and you will have the chance to work individually or in pairs, depending on the project needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Milford, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
