O&M Technician Address:
Southwest Michigan (South Bend, IN area)
Schedule:
7 on, 7 off rotating 12 hour shift
Pay:
$40-45/hour + 5% annual bonus + full-time benefits (401k w/ match, health, dental, vision, life insurance, etc.) Why work here: This is a brand new plant with state of the art technology providing a stable environment for years to come. There will be opportunities to qualify at the plant and increase hourly rate as well.
Job Description:
The Power Plant Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Technician operates, troubleshoots, and repairs generation equipment to ensure safe, continuous power delivery. Daily duties include conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance, monitoring system performance, and complying with safety and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities Perform controlled startups, shutdowns, and continuous monitoring of turbines, boilers, generators, and auxiliary systems. Assisting with diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation/control issues, executing repairs and preventive maintenance. Enforce strict adherence to environmental and plant safety regulations. Log operating parameters and report abnormalities. Monitor and adjust plant cycle chemistry and water treatment systems.
Target background:
2+ years as a Power Plant Operator, preference on gas turbine operations experience but open to other conventional power plant experience. This position will assist with maintenance or IC&E and we'd target someone with some exposure to either side or willingness to be trained. #ENG1
