OBD / Emissions Calibration Engineer On-Site | Contract Opportunity | Full-Time Benefits Begin on Day 1 | Paid Time Off | Paid Holidays Competitive Benefits Package Reliance One, Inc. is seeking an experienced OBD / Emissions Calibration Engineer to support powertrain calibration and emissions development activities. This role focuses on optimizing emissions, OBD functionality, and drivability while ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate standards. Key Responsibilities Perform emissions calibration and optimization for powertrain systems Conduct FTP emissions testing with prototype vehicles (4K and FUL conditions) Execute emissions transparency and sign-off testing Perform OBDII self-certification testing and support transparency sign-off Provide OBD calibration tuning to meet self-certification requirements Conduct

self-cert testing for required monitor subsets Support DVR tailpipe emissions testing in alignment with corporate guidelines Provide calibration input for releases and sign-off completion Calibration & Analysis Utilize MATLAB and calibration tools such as ETAS and/or ATI Analyze and interpret powertrain control strategies (C-code and model-based systems) Perform modeling and simulation to optimize engine control features Collect, log, and analyze data to validate emissions and OBD targets Provide detailed summaries and reporting to support calibration decisions Collaboration & Developmen t Work cross-functionally with calibration teams to optimize emissions, OBD, and drivability performance Maintain calibration features and labels within quality systems for development and production releases Support development trips and full OBD self-certification sign-off activities Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in powertrain calibration, vehicle testing, and/or dyno testing Strong proficiency with MATLAB and calibration tools (ETAS, ATI) Understanding of emissions regulations and OBD requirements Experience with engine calibration and testing, preferably with an emissions/OBD focus Ability to analyze and interpret control strategies and calibration data If you have a strong background in emissions calibration and want to work on cutting-edge powertrain development, let's connect!
