Position Description:
We are looking for an Electronics Field Service Technician to focus on the installation and support of wireless voice, data and video systems, based out of our Traverse City location. This position will involve working hands-on to install and integrate communication and/or physical security systems in a variety of facilities, in close collaboration with Tele-Rad's technology sales consultants and fellow technicians. Our technicians are expected to engage with our customers in a positive and professional manner. In addition, you must be able to bend, twist, reach and move, work on ladders, and lift up to 75 lbs. to fulfill the responsibilities of this position. To excel in this role, you must possess a willingness to learn and grow, as we provide our technicians with extensive training and opportunities to learn and grow. This position requires a substantial amount of local travel and the ideal candidate will be willing and able to drive extended distances and work overtime.
Responsibilities:
Respond to customer service calls, troubleshoot, and repair various types of systems Lead teams in the installation, configuration, and setup of network appliances and applications Work closely with service managers and technology consultants to determine and execute project schedules and timelines Develop respect and trust among customers, subcontractors and colleagues Obtain and maintain required certifications
Desired Skill Sets:
Minimum two years of experience in IT-based physical security and/or RF communications role Certification(s) from ETA, CompTIA, NICET, BICSI, Motorola Solutions, Avigilon or Pelco Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of low-voltage electronics Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google-based programs Strong communication and organizational skills, independent initiative, and a positive attitude Preferred experience in diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and programming for wireless communication equipment such as two-way radios, transmitters, and receivers
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, generally 8:00am-5:00pm•After hours response may be required from time to time. Must be available for overtime and overnight travel as needed.

Full-time, hourly, non-exempt
Compensation:
Starting hourly rate is $21.00-26.00 per hour
