Full Job Description TITLE:
TechnicianPOSITION OVERVIEW
As a Process Technician on our team, you will begin by supporting and maintaining electronic test equipment and instrumentation used for pacemaker and defibrillator development, gaining hands‑on experience within equipment control. As you grow in the role, you will progressively take on greater responsibility, contributing to the design, development, and integration of complete electronic test systems—from early concept and circuit design through system integration and production support. This role blends creativity with hands‑on execution and involves close collaboration with software, firmware, and hardware engineers to ensure reliable, safe, and effective medical devices. You will also support troubleshooting, repair, and validation activities, either directly or through technician guidance, helping to advance life‑saving technology and make a measurable impact on patient health.RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support equipment control activities by maintaining, configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic test equipment and instrumentation, ensuring systems are reliable, compliant, and ready for use while building foundational knowledge that supports progression into full test system design and integration. Apply knowledge of electronic design methodologies and systems to develop test system concepts, requirements, and specifications using engineering best practices and/or industry standards. Implement electronic instrumentation and test systems based on defined requirements and specifications. Integrate electronic instrumentation and subsystems into larger test systems that may include software components and medical devices. Collaborate within cross‑functional technical teams to develop and support custom instrumentation and test systems. Perform hands‑on troubleshooting and repair of PCB assemblies, cables, and small bench‑top systems, or provide technical oversight and guidance to technicians. Support documentation efforts including reports, memos, and engineering change requests. Maintain quality standards and contribute within a regulated medical device environment.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field with 1+ year of relevant experience (internship experience counts). Demonstrated experience designing and building a final product, showing a balance of creativity and execution. Experience with schematic capture and oversight of PCB and system fabrication/assembly. Knowledge and experience with low‑power analog design techniques. Strong laboratory skills and hands‑on experience with standard electrical test equipment. Experience integrating electronic and software systems, including problem resolution. Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic circuits at the board level. Experience producing technical documentation such as reports, memos, and change requests.PREFERRED / NICE
‑TO‑HAVE SKILLS • Analog/digital electronics experience including mixed hardware-software systems, instrumentation validation, and hands‑on soldering/troubleshooting of PCBAs and bench‑top hardware. • Exposure to test, design, and development tools (LabVIEW, MATLAB, C/C
