Job Description

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) seeks an Automation Maintenance Technician to support advanced aerospace casting and machining operations in a high-precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on automated production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems. The technician will troubleshoot issues to reduce downtime, calibrate sensors and drives, and assist with equipment installations and upgrades. Working closely with production and engineering teams, this position promotes a strong safety culture, ensures product quality, and contributes to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives while building specialized technical skills. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation and production equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues to minimize downtime Calibrate and repair sensors, motors, actuators, and control systems Support installation and commissioning of new automated machinery Document maintenance activities and follow safety and quality procedures Collaborate with production and engineering to improve equipment reliability Participate in continuous improvement and root-cause analysis efforts Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals Required Skills Industrial automation maintenance Mechanical troubleshooting Electrical troubleshooting PLC basics and I/O diagnostics Reading electrical and mechanical schematics Sensors, actuators, and motor controls Preventive maintenance planning Industrial safety and lockout/tagout Root-cause analysis Documentation and CMMS usage
