The Opportunity:

The Design Technician

• Power will be essential in drafting, design support, and project documentation functions that contribute to the success of the Engineering & Operations Department. What you'll be doing:
• Create, maintain, and update technical drawings using CAD software in accordance with company and industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure design accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
• Support project documentation, including assembly of design packages and project files.
• Conduct field visits to gather information and verify design conditions.
• Maintain drafting and project databases and ensure files are organized and current.
• Gather, analyze, and summarize data to support engineering activities. What we're looking for:
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Drafting & Design, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field. Minimum 3 years of work experience in electrical or other related field may be substituted for a degree.
• Knowledge of general engineering principles and their application to design. Even better if you have (Highly Desired):
• 2+ years of experience in the utility industry
• AutoCAD Experience
• Knowledge of SCADA and RTU components
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to produce accurate technical drawings, evaluate data and create reports.
