Job Description

  • Automation Technician - DIRECT HIRE
  • Join a Growing Manufacturing Team! We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to support and improve automated manufacturing equipment and processes. This role is responsible for troubleshooting automation systems, maintaining robotic equipment, and driving continuous improvements to maximize efficiency and quality.
  • What You'll Do:
  • + Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment, robotics, and vision systems + Build, maintain, and optimize automation systems and fixtures + Perform preventive maintenance on automation equipment + Support process improvements and equipment upgrades + Calibrate equipment and ensure optimal machine performance + Identify and resolve quality and production issues
  • Skills & Experience:
  • ✅ Experience with automation systems and industrial robotics (KUKA preferred) ✅ Knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatics, and vacuum systems ✅ Ability to troubleshoot and optimize automation programs ✅ Experience with vision inspection and automated quality systems ✅ Background in plastics manufacturing preferred ✅ Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills ✅ Experience with preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives •
Qualifications:
  • + High School Diploma or GED + Previous experience in automation, robotics, or industrial maintenance + Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • This is a Permanent position based out of Hickory, NC.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $30.

00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
