Job Description

Calibration Technician (full-time) Perform verification, testing and calibration and limited repair on various equipment including but not limited to
RF, EMI, EMC
receivers, electrical, physical, dimensional equipment and other types equipment for conformance to established standards. Assist in preventive maintenance of laboratory calibration standards as well as ongoing development of testing procedures and other laboratory support functions. Responsibilities Perform testing, verification and calibration events in our laboratories or in the field at customer sites to ISO/IEC 17025, manufacturer specs, GIDEP, Sure Cal & Met Cal procedures. Aligns, repairs (limited) replaces, and necessary component parts and circuitry. Reassembles and calibrates instruments and equipment, Create and complete all required data reports and documentation thoroughly, legibly and in a timely manner. Contributes to and develops procedures for evolving capabilities and devises formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations, Assists engineers and senior metrologists in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment. Miscellaneous other duties as assigned. Calibration Technician Qualifications 2 years of prior calibration lab experience preferably military or commercial sector, Formal Military PMEL or Com/Nav training preferred but not required. Associate level college coursework preferred. Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Experience with Sure Cal and/or Met Cal preferred Effective verbal and written communications skills and positive team player skills and experience a must. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability and willingness to travel both locally and occasional out of state (overnight travel).
