Summary:
Joining us as the Senior Electrical Automation Technician means leading the way in advancing and maintaining our facility's electrical control systems. This pivotal role involves driving automation solutions, from initial setup to ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting. By collaborating closely with the automation team, you'll help shape the plant's technological roadmap for long-term progress, constantly improving our systems. Your responsibilities will include securing and managing the automation infrastructure, ensuring software and programs are up-to-date. Leveraging your expertise in electrical controls and automation technologies, you'll deliver innovative solutions to tackle manufacturing challenges and enhance our processes for seamless daily operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Effectively troubleshoot and maintain cutting-edge equipment by decoding complex electrical schematics and user manuals. Optimize processes by resolving automation and robotics software issues with advanced problem-solving skills. Minimize downtime and boost efficiency by addressing PLC and touchscreen hardware challenges effectively. Resolve control networking issues and assist with network troubleshooting to ensure reliable system connectivity. Collaborate with IT to uphold server functionality, ensuring uninterrupted operations. Drive automation enhancements to optimize processes, increase efficiency, and ensure reliability. Consult with management and engineering teams on innovative projects to push boundaries. Develop training materials to empower team members and enhance technical skills. Mentor and train maintenance technicians for professional growth and excellence. Organize and maintain vital electrical and automation documentation for accessibility and security.
Requirements:
Associate's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent training. Proficiency with Allen Bradley/Rockwell automation and programming. Experience with RS Logix 5000 and 12-hour rotating schedules. Ability to interpret electrical schematics and communicate effectively in English. Self-motivated, with leadership and troubleshooting skills. Collaborative team player with a dynamic work approach.
