Roanoke Rapids, NC Are you a skilled E & I maintenance professional looking for a rewarding career in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Our Roanoke Rapids Mill team is seeking experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians (E&I) to help maintain and repair state-of-the-art paperboard manufacturing equipment. The E/I Technician will repair, maintain, and install plant electrical, electronic and instrumentation equipment
Pay Range:
$31.19 - $41.56 per hour (based on education and experience) What You'll Do Work alongside experienced mentors to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance. Support continuous improvement of preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliability. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for unplanned shutdowns. Maintain and troubleshoot advanced control systems (DCS, PLC). Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics for process control systems. Complete work orders, documentation, and change control procedures accurately. Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines. What You Need to Succeed High School Diploma or GED required 4 years of verifiable Electrical or Instrument experience: (or a combination of both) Good understanding of basic math for electrical/electronics Manufacturing and/or Mill experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge of computer programs using Windows based operating systems. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to identify voltage levels with the use of digital multi-meters Two-year technical degree, registered apprenticeship, or equivalent formal training desired Willing to work a rotating shift Scheduled and unscheduled overtime as needed Ability to work weekends/holidays and in varying conditions (heat, noise, indoor/outdoor)
