Automation Technician Pay:
$25 - $35 / hour (Depending on Experience)Travel:
Approximately 20-30% (Customer support and field service)Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Automation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assemble custom automation equipment, wire control systems, and perform on-site customer support.Key Responsibilities:
Build, assemble, and test custom automation equipment per mechanical assembly prints and electrical schematics. Fabricate and modify manufactured components by hand as required. Install, wire, and integrate electrical components and control systems. Analyze technical specifications, designs, and test data to verify equipment performance. Document test results and communicate technical insights clearly to engineering teams and clients. Perform on-site installation, service work, and customer support.Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Associate degree (2-year) in Mechatronics, Automated Systems, Electrical Technology, or a related field.Experience:
2-5 years as an electro-mechanical or automation technician preferred.Technical Skills:
Ability to read schematics/prints, troubleshoot control systems, and use standard shop tools and software (MS Office/Excel).Soft Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills for direct customer interaction and team collaboration.Work Style:
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently after training and a desire to advance into larger roles.Job Type:
