Job Description

Natural Gas Compression Technician Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanic/Technician to join our team, specializing in the maintenance and repair of natural gas compression units and electric motors. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety protocols.
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on natural gas compressors, electric motors, and auxiliary equipment according to manufacturer specifications and company standards Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using diagnostic tools and technical documentation Execute repairs on compression equipment, including engine overhauls, component replacements, and system upgrades Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation of all work performed Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they lead to failures Respond to emergency calls and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions as needed Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental requirements
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience maintaining and repairing industrial compression equipment Strong understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems Experience with preventive maintenance programs and documentation Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various site locations Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Ariel and Electric drive systems Knowledge of PLC control systems and electronic monitoring equipment Experience with tablet based maintenance systems

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
