ELECTRONICS
MECHANIC, WG-2604-11, duties include: (1) Troubleshoots, inspects, installs, maintains, overhauls, repairs, and modifies complete operional systems consisting of numerous complex integral components. Examples of equipment worked on include: navigional radios, Doppler or inertial navigion systems, global positioning systems, automic planning systems, night vision systems, targeting systems, communicions radios, flight control and stabilizion systems, weapons systems, aircraft survivability equipment, specialized mission equipment and similar electronic and navigional equipment. (2) Completes operional checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting of line replaceable unit (LRU). Isoles unusual malfunctions using technical manuals, schemics, and wiring diagrams, tools and test equipment including automic test equipment. Solves problems by analyzing installion, circuitry, and opering characteristics of the systems. Adjusts and aligns sensors, transmitters, amplifiers, power supplies, display devices, controls, actuors, servos, computers and other reled components. Removes faulty LRUs for shop repair. Installs serviceable components into aircraft. Accomplishes technical manual compliance and modificion of components and systems. Maintains, modifies, calibres and inspects a wide variety of user test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). (3) Completes bench check, testing, repair, inspection, modificion, programming, reprogramming, ming, adjusting, alignment, and analyzing of LRUs and shop replaceable units. Uses a variety of test equipment such as automed test equipment (ATE), oscilloscopes, multimeters, powermeters, combined Boresight Harmonizion Kits, and special purpose bench test sets. Tests and troubleshoots solid ste electronic assemblies and subassemblies such as circuit cards, modules, re gyros, electronic control amplifiers, electro-mechanical assemblies, random access memories, programmable read-only memories and various integred circuits. Identifies faulty part and repairs to level authorized. Reassembles unit after repair, performs alignment and makes shop checks. (4) Recommends methods to improve equipment performance, technical da, and maintenance procedures by reporting hardware and software malfunctions, inities meriel deficiency reports both on equipment and in technical da, and assists in design changes as necessary. Conducts debriefing of aircrews to determine the nure of system malfunctions then documents all maintenance performed and records informion reled to the system, LRU's, or shop repairable units on both aircraft and historical records. (5) When designed on NGB Flying Stus Orders, serves as member of flight crew for the purpose of diagnosing and recording malfunctions, or otherwise determining maintenance and repair requirements. (6) Guides lower level mechanics in performance of tasks. Conducts on-the-job training on assigned systems and reled support equipment and tasks to include classroom instruction as necessary. (7) Processes and accounts for due-in supply assets. Ensures th merial and equipment are properly stored, protected and maintained and th funds are not obliged for merial or parts without proper justificion. (8) Prepares for and participes in various types of readiness evaluions such as Operional Readiness Evaluions (ORE), Command Logistics Readiness Inspections (CLRT-X), and Aviion Resource Management Surveys. May be required to perform additional duties such as structural fire fighting, aircraft handling, heavy equipment operion, and maintenance of facilities and equipment, or serve as a member of a team to cope with nural disasters or civil emergencies. Complies with safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulions. Performs other duties as assigned. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED
This is a Title 32 excepted service position th requires membership in the Nebraska Army Nional Guard. Selectee required to wear the military uniform daily. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the Nional Guard must be eligible for immedie membership and employment in the Nional Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

AREA 1: Current permanent and indefinite technicians of the Nebraska Army or Air Nional Guard; and current Title 5 employees of the Nebraska Military Department who are military members of the Nebraska Nional Guard. GENERAL EXPERIENCE

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
WG-11: 18 months experience or training in utilizing principles, basic functions, and applicion of theory of electronic systems or equipment. Experience in diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic equipment or systems. Experience in making mechanical repairs th required the use of precision measuring and calibring equipment. Experience in using complex test equipment such as deviion meters, complex special test panels, etc. Experience which demonstres the ability to interpret technical manuals, specificions, and publicions.
