ABOUT US
We are a warehousing company in the pet food business. Our facility utilizes automated packaging equipment, conveyors, labeling systems, and material handling technology to efficiently process and ship products. We are seeking an Automation Technician to help maintain and improve our automated systems.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Automation Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing automated packaging and warehouse equipment. This role supports production uptime by ensuring all automation systems, controls, and machinery operate safely and efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot and repair automated packaging equipment, conveyors, labeling systems. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation equipment. Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and motor controls Calibrate sensors, scales, barcode scanners, and control devices. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals. Collaborate with operations teams to minimize downtime and improve productivity. Maintain maintenance records and work orders. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic knowledge of PLCs ,HMIs, VFDs, and industrial control system. Ability to Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience in

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
