PACKAGING EQUIPMENT MECHANIC
WANTED, salary commensurate with experience Leading manufacturer of packaging equipment and strapping tools for in house packaging and unitizing is seeking a Packaging Equipment Mechanic . We are a family run major corporation that has worldwide manufacturing, distribution and sales organizations founded in 1947. We are growing! No layoffs here!

Packaging Equipment Mechanic Description:
Looking for a Packaging Repair Mechanic for a Packaging Company. Must be able to maintain machines, preventative maintenance as well as repair the machines as needed. Pneumatic, Battery and Manual powered hand tools in addition to large industrial equipment.
Responsibilities:
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on Battery Hand Tools, Pneumatic tools, Hand Tools, We are a high demand facility, working efficiently and swiftly is a must Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using good judgement and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, cleans replaces and overall services tools Writes up estimates on parts required for tool repair, hands off with Customer Service who works with end user for approval Once tool is repaired, testing to ensure it meets factory specs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Rebuilding core parts on machines to be sent out in the field to be exchanged Respond promptly to service requests with high level of internal customer service Able to accurately assess problems, make recommendations, communicate effectively, and resolve issues quickly while working under pressure A Positive Attitude, hard work ethic and teamwork are essential Program/Update software on machines Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, bending over and standing for duration of work day Maintaining a clean and organized work environment Assisting in receiving, shipping, inventory, and all other aspects of the warehouse. Hosting training sessions for repair tech's from customers Positive, cooperative attitude important! We want a pleasant work environment.
Qualifications:
Must have hydraulic, pneumatic components, industrial electrical and motor control systems, machine tool process and machine repair Experience. 2-3 years' experience Must be able to work Monday Thru Friday Full-Time Hours Education Required High School Diploma or Some College coursework
