Hoist and Automation Repair Technician Christie - 3.9 Kearny, NJ Job Details Full-time $41,000 - $41,600 a year 1 hour ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Customer service Lifts and hoists Collaborative technology platforms Microsoft Teams SharePoint Productivity software Full Job Description Job Purpose The Hoist and Automation Repair Technician repairs equipment including but not limited to: Manual and Electric chain hoists, Kinesys automation systems, and lifting and rigging equipment. Responsibilities 1. Test, repair, and maintain electric and manual chain hoists. 2. Repair and maintain rigging equipment, truss, and flight cases. 3. Maintain the work area. 1.
Repairs equipment by:
Repairing electrical and/or mechanical faults in electric chain hoists and automation products including ancillary equipment such as power distribution and machinery control systems. Carry out limited electronic repairs to the circuit board level. Modification and upgrade of Christie Lites Official Rental Product Line equipment to Christie Lites standards as specified in the provided technical notes. Ordering parts required for repair. Inspection and Certification of lifting equipment based on regional standards and directives at designated intervals as laid out in company standards documents Ensure all tools and supplies are returned to proper storage at the end of the shift. Keep an updated inventory of parts and tools in the dept. 2.
Update Software Systems by:
Recording of all repairs in the Nexus Service software module. Upload all passed Certification documents to NEXUS or SharePoint. Requirements Essential Personal Attributes for success in this role: Self-motivated, ability to set and meet goals. Mechanically and electronically inclined Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills. Excellent learning skills and knowledge retention Communication, with a passion for collaboration over confrontation. Quality conscious and keen attention to detail Excel at multi-tasking and adapting. Essential skills for success in this role: Analytical, detail-oriented. MS Office, Excel, Word, OneNote, OneDrive, SharePoint, TEAMS Creative problem solving Reliable customer service Familiarity with entertainment lifting and rigging industry equipment, terminology, and safety practices.
