IT Configuration Technician

Position Overview We are hiring IT Configuration Technicians to support device setup and deployment operations in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses on configuring laptops, desktops, and tablets, ensuring systems are properly imaged, tested, and ready for end users. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with entry-level IT experience (0-3 years) looking to grow within hardware and desktop support. Key Responsibilities Device Configuration & Setup Unbox and configure desktops, laptops, and tablets based on client specifications Install operating systems, drivers, and required applications Perform system imaging and customization as needed Ensure all devices meet configuration and quality standards Testing & Troubleshooting Test configured systems to verify proper functionality Identify and troubleshoot hardware/software issues Escalate complex problems to Lead Technicians when required Documentation & Quality Assurance Complete installation documentation and QA checklists Ensure accurate tracking for billing, warranty, and returns Follow configuration sheets and online instructions precisely Inventory & Hardware Handling Handle unpacking, setup, and movement of IT equipment Process defective products and coordinate vendor returns Maintain organized workspace and equipment flow Continuous Learning & Support Stay updated on new hardware/software products and updates Collaborate with team members and leads on complex configurations Follow departmental processes and certification requirements Required Skills & Qualifications 0-3 years of experience in IT support, hardware setup, or similar role Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows preferred) Hands-on experience with device setup, imaging, or installation (preferred) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to follow technical instructions and documentation Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods during device setup Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 30 lbs Work Environment 100% onsite role in a warehouse or staging environment No travel required No on-call responsibilities Overtime may be required with advance notice Additional Details Candidates must be within commuting distance of Paulsboro, NJ No specific certifications required Interviews will begin ASAP Why Join?
