JOB TITLE
Electronics TechnicianDEPARTMENT
Technical ServicesPOSITION SUMMARY
Perform a variety of electrical and environmental tests on magnetic parts, and final verification of electrical and environmental requirements to ensure unit functions in accordance to drawing specifications.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Review drawings for electrical and environmental requirements, develop test plans. Perform various electrical and environmental tests in the Environmental Lab. Perform test equipment repair and maintenance. Assist production test department in performing quality conformance inspection for all completed parts to verify conformance to specification. Ensure that each part conforms to drawing requirements.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Two-year Associates Degree (AAS) in Electronics Technology or two years of related experience or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have the mental and visual ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, schematic diagram, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals. Must have the knowledge of basic electricity both alternating and direct current. Must have the basic knowledge how to use various types of test equipment such as multi-meter, signal generator, dielectric withstanding tester, megohmmeter and oscilloscope. Must have the mental ability to perform basic mathematics. Must have the physical ability to move parts and equipment weighing 50 pounds. Ability to communicate effectively, work effectively in a team environment. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment; must be able to deal with delays, or unexpected eventsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.WORK CONTACTS
This position is in contact with supervisor, production manager, engineering, and human resources.PHYSICAL EFFORT
This position may occasionally be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%. Position needs to move about around the test lab and throughout production plant. The person in this position frequently communicates with Supervisor and production manager who have inquiries; therefore he/she must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. He/she will require the ability to read materials including safety policies and procedures. Must have the physical ability to perform this job safely without endangering the health or safety of self or others. Employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as clothing, gloves, goggles, or other garments or equipment to protect the employee's body from injury or infection. Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions of equipment. Ensure compliance with Magnetika employee health and wellbeing programs. Inspect equipment, manufacturing area and safety equipment to find and correct potential hazards. Ensure compliance with environmental and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Ensure test equipment are in good condition and safe to use.WORKING CONDITIONS
Works throughout the premises as needed. Work environment may have noise levels ranging from medium to quiet. The environment for this position varies from clean, climate controlled to manufacturing. Full Time, 40 hours per week Hours will be 6:30AM to 5:00PM Monday thru ThursdaySimilar remote jobs
