Job Description

Piper Companies is currently looking for an experienced Calibration Technician to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Ridgefield, NJ. Responsibilities for the Calibration Technician include: Performing calibrations on manufacturing equipment, utility systems, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and Rockwell PLCs. Operating, troubleshooting, and repairing complex utility and process systems including WFI, RODI, clean steam, CIP systems, autoclaves, glassware washers, HVAC, temperature-controlled rooms, compressed gases, and wastewater treatment systems. Providing technical support and guidance to internal teams, ensuring timely resolution of system issues. Supporting facility startup activities, including initial calibrations and commissioning efforts. Completing accurate documentation in compliance with cGMP and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) requirements. Reviewing and closing preventive and corrective maintenance records in both paper and electronic systems in accordance with company procedures. Responding to and prioritizing emergency and high-priority work orders to ensure timely Qualifications for the Calibration Technician include: High School diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience performing calibrations on utility systems, HVAC, and manufacturing equipment in a regulated environment. Background working within a cGMP biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, preferably within a metrology function. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining compliance and data integrity. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and regulations.
