Full Job Description Job Purpose:

Organize and manage projects Create design packages for customer review Provide support to manufacturing department Create design packages and engineering release for manufacturing

Duties:

Design and detail mechanical assemblies Design and detail mechanical components Prototype development Tolerance analysis and stack-ups Select and specify required purchased components Create bill of materials for assemblies Work directly with purchasing department for component acquisition Liaison between manufacturing department and engineering Liaison between engineering and customers Prepare release packages for manufacturing department (machining prints, assembly drawings, BOM, assembly instructions). Work with outside vendors for selection and specification of required materials.

Required Skills:

Minimum 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering Proficient in Solid Works and AutoCAD Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with specific ability to write at a professional and technical level. Organized and detail oriented. Desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. Flexibility to "wear multiple hats" in a small business environment Self-motivated designer with little need of direction and guidance

Work Schedule:

40 Hours per week at hourly rate, 1 ½ hourly rate over 40hrs/week. Reports to
