Electronic System Technician

Hardware Technician Electronic Systems Technician Responsibilities:

Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic assemblies, subsystems, and hardware systems. Perform unit, system, integration, and regression testing while documenting procedures and results. Analyze test data to identify hardware or software issues and support resolution efforts. Assemble prototype and experimental circuitry, including breadboard and complete hardware builds. Support installation and maintenance of primary and redundant server systems used for internal networks and test environments. Execute software distribution, installation, and system configuration builds across test systems. Create technical documentation, reports, diagrams, charts, and schematics to document system performance and issues. Interface with internal teams, customers, and contract manufacturers to support testing and troubleshooting activities. Provide internal training and support for unit and system-level testing. Perform failure analysis, recommend corrective actions, and support field troubleshooting. Conduct site surveys and assist with system installations at customer locations as required.

Requirements:

Availability to work Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM, and Friday, 7:30 AM-11:30 PM. Must have reliable, independent transportation to and from the worksite. High school diploma with technical training; associate or bachelor"s degree preferred. Approximately 5-7 years of hands-on experience in a hardware, electronics, or technical support role. Experience using electronic test equipment and diagnostic instrumentation. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, datasheets, and written work instructions. Experience working with hand tools and small power tools. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and summarize technical data. Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Preferences:

Experience supporting hardware systems used in regulated or controlled environments. Prior customer-facing or field support experience. Familiarity with server hardware, networking, or laboratory test environments.
