Electric Motor Co. is looking for a full-time Electric Motor, Pump, and Gearbox Technician to join our team. This position is for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, and interested in working in a repair shop environment. The right person will help inspect, disassemble, clean, repair, assemble, and test electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and related equipment. Experience is required.

Job Duties Include:

• Disassemble and inspect electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and related equipment
• Clean parts and prepare components for repair
• Replace bearings, seals, brushes, leads, gaskets, mechanical seals, and other parts
• Assist with motor, pump, and gearbox testing and troubleshooting
• Assemble motors, pumps, gearboxes, and related equipment after repair
• Use hand tools, power tools, presses, pullers, and shop equipment
• Read work orders and follow repair instructions
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
• Communicate with shop supervisors and team members
• Assist with general shop duties as needed

Requirements:

• Mechanical ability or repair experience required
• Electric motor, pump, or gearbox repair experience is a plus
• Must be dependable and show up on time
• Must be able to work safely in a shop environment
• Must be able to lift and move heavy parts and equipment
• Must be able to use hand tools and power tools
• Welding, machining, or industrial repair experience is a plus
• Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
