    Surface
  • Instrumentation & Electrical (I & E) Technician is primarily responsible for installation, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of process instrumentation at surface operations.
This position requires attention to detail, a safety-conscience mindset and problem-solving skills to fix issues.
JOB DUTIES
Execute day-to-day maintenance work orders associated with surface facility operations Install, troubleshoot and repair various electrical components and systems, including, but not limited to: drive and control systems, conduit wire, pneumatic and electronic instrumentation, and motors Assist with maintaining PLC/DCS hardware and install switches Perform pre-shift inspections and preventative maintenance ensure all equipment and systems are operating safely and efficiently, and report any safety hazards to appropriate personnel Execute analysis, detailed documentation, installations, checkouts, debugging and cost control of assigned projects Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED Valid Driver's License Minimum three (3) years electrical experience required with troubleshooting skills Associate's degree in electronics or instrumentation preferred with a minimum of three (3) years off applicable experience Ability to reach instructions, blue prints and manuals Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook Must be available to work call-outs as needed for a 24/7 operation

SCHEDULE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT 9/80
schedule, Monday
  • Thursday (6 a.m.
  • 3:30 p.m.), Fridays worked (6 a.m.
  • 2:30 p.m.) with every other Friday off. As part of a 24/7 maintenance support team, employees must be available wot work call-outs as needed. Schedule subject to change. Outdoors, in a non
  • temperature controlled environment, and subject to weather conditions Exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels Employees are required to wear safety attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching or grasping Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs , and push and/or pull up to 50 lbs. Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders, and potentially work at heights, perceive color differences Will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed and engage in strenuous physical activity A pre-placement physical and hair follicle drug test will be required for anyone selected for this opportunity. Placement into the position will not be made until the results are received and cleared by Intrepid.
