Job Title Calibration Technician Job Number 17-3028.00 Department Quality Control Reports to Quality Assurance Supervisor Primary Position Objectives Manage the Calibration system Position Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Description of Duties Calibration System Maintain calibration system to ensure full compliance with company standards and ISO requirements Manage and coordinate calibration activities with both internal and external suppliers and customers Perform mechanical calibration of gauges utilizing specified layout style Coordinates calibration through interacting with production personnel Manages the flow of gages/fixtures through the inspection department to ensure timely calibration Lean Initiatives Observes Company processes and makes recommendations for improvement Participates in Lean Projects Other Maintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards. Performs other duties as may be required. Attendance is an essential function of the job Qualifications Education/Experience High school or technical school education, or equivalent, with mathematics emphasis. Skill required to operate gauges and testing equipment. Analytical capabilities to interpret detailed and complex drawings Physical Requirements Visual ability (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate inspection machinery for precision work. Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending. Ability to lift objects from lower to a higher position or moving horizontally from position-to-position.
