In person Job Summary Capital District Electric is seeking a skilled and dependable Electrical Service Technician to perform electrical service, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance work for residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, technically capable, and committed to providing professional customer service. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment. Perform electrical repairs, replacements, and service work. Install wiring, fixtures, outlets, switches, panels, and related components. Read and interpret electrical plans, diagrams, and service documentation. Test electrical systems and identify potential safety issues. Perform preventive maintenance and service inspections. Use electrical testing equipment and hand and power tools safely. Maintain accurate service records and document completed work. Communicate professionally with customers regarding service needs. Follow applicable electrical codes, safety procedures, and company standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area and service vehicle. Requirements Previous electrical service or electrical technician experience preferred. Knowledge of residential and/or commercial electrical systems. Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems effectively. Familiarity with electrical tools, meters, and testing equipment. Strong attention to safety and detail. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift equipment and perform physical work as required.
