POSITION
: Tool & Equipment Repair Technician

JOB SUMMARY
The Tool & Equipment Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of hydraulic and mechanical tools and equipment. This role ensures all equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and manufacturer standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Inspect, diagnose, and repair hydraulic, battery-operated, and manual tools and equipment Perform routine maintenance, testing, and calibration to ensure optimal performance Disassemble and reassemble tools including hydraulic impact wrenches, compression tools, chain saws, tampers, pavement breakers, pumps, and hoists Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and determine appropriate repairs Replace or repair defective components such as seals, valves, hoses, and motors Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and parts usage documentation Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and company procedures Communicate equipment issues and repair timelines with supervisors or internal teams Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Assist in inventory management and ordering of replacement parts as needed The ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred 1-2 years of experience in hydraulic tool or equipment repair (or related mechanical field) Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, mechanical components, and diagnostic techniques Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams Experience with battery-operated and manual hydraulic tools preferred Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair procedures Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Frequent standing, bending, and use of hands for extended periods Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, oils, and varying temperatures

$17.88 - $27.00 per hour
