PowerPro Service Company Inc. is a family-owned Generator Set Sales, Service and Installation company. We supply, install and service generator sets for home and businesses across Long Island. We are looking for an experienced field service technician to join our team. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive or equipment repair, with experience in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues. This role involves working directly with customers to provide exceptional service and support, ensuring their equipment operates efficiently and effectively. Duties Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on various types of natural gas, propane, and diesel generators. Utilize schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during repair tasks. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repair processes and recommendations. Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and customer interactions. Assist in heavy lifting as required during the repair process. Collaborate with team members to improve service delivery and operational efficiency. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to equipment repair. Requirements Previous experience as a service technician or mechanic is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience. Proficient in reading schematics and understanding electrical systems. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for equipment handling. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Experience with AC electrical systems is a plus. Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to various job sites as required.
