What to Expect Tesla is currently seeking an Project Technician who will be dedicated to supporting our manufacturing production projects. This position will report through the production maintenance organization. What You'll Do

Display a positive attitude and practice strong work ethic that reflects the mission, philosophy and goals of Tesla

Participate in or lead various Fabrication Team projects based on experience and skills as well as lead station/tool install/build projects for maintenance and engineering teams

Provide comments/improvements to designs based on experience and field conditions

Troubleshoot root cause of tool errors and substandard performance in a cost-effective manner. This includes but not limited to: PLC troubleshooting, electro-mechanical systems, components, electronic sensors and switches

Respond quickly to resolve unanticipated equipment problems

Work with Production and Manufacturing Engineering team to optimize tool performance and related continuous improvement activities

Interface effectively with vendors and their field service engineers onsite or via telephone support as well as attend scheduled corporate training and meetings What You'll Bring

Experience with interpreting schematics, panel building, circuit wiring, troubleshooting, and repairing electro-mechanical systems and components, hydraulic and pneumatic components, vacuum systems, vision systems, AC motor controls and PLC troubleshooting Expierence in electrical control panel building and/or electrical field wiring or machine building electrician Ability to travel for, at a minimum, one week at a time, several times per year Demonstrated safe work practices, able to lift up to 60 lbs.
