Repair Technician Location:
New Hartford, NY Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Pay:
$21 per hour

Temporary with potential for temp-to-hire Sapphire Recruitment is seeking an entry-level Repair Technician to support the diagnosis, repair, inspection, and maintenance of electronic point-of-sale equipment, peripherals, and related hardware. This hands-on position is ideal for someone beginning a career in electronics who wants to develop practical diagnostic, soldering, repair, and troubleshooting skills in a structured repair environment. Training and close supervision will be provided. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair electronic point-of-sale products, peripherals, and components. Disassemble, reassemble, and test electronic units using established procedures and technical documentation. Identify common electronic and mechanical failures and escalate more complex issues. Use standard test equipment and diagnostic tools to verify product functionality. Perform basic soldering and component replacement after completing required training. Accurately document repairs, parts used, and test results in tracking systems. Follow all safety, quality, ESD, and compliance requirements. Properly handle and organize parts, tools, and materials. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation. Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of electronics, electrical components, or electro-mechanical equipment. Interest in developing electronic repair and troubleshooting skills. Ability to follow technical instructions and established procedures. Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills. Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
