Set up processing systems and prepare equipment for development activities. Provide technical support to process engineers and other laboratory personnel. Interpret and apply electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, diagrams, and system documentation. Troubleshoot equipment issues using electrical, mechanical, optical, and other precision test instruments. Identify the root cause of system performance problems and complete repairs or adjustments as needed. Perform preventive maintenance and routine service on processing equipment. Support the safe, organized, and efficient operation of the applications laboratory. Document test results, maintenance activities, modifications, and troubleshooting findings. Collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and operations staff in a team-based environment. Required Qualifications At least two years of hands-on experience testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex systems. High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in engineering technology, electronics, mechanical technology, or a related technical discipline preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, technical training, and relevant experience may be considered. Preferred Skills and Experience Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working with complex assemblies. Ability to safely assemble, disassemble, modify, and repair equipment. Experience with prototyping, equipment testing, and laboratory or industrial test instruments. Familiarity with vacuum systems, wafer-processing equipment, or semiconductor manufacturing tools. Background working in a high-technology, laboratory, manufacturing, or equipment-support environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills. Clear written and verbal communication.
