4x10s Monday - Thursday 6:30am-5pm Why Work Here? This position is stationed on a stable natural gas power plant by the Hudson river offering a competitive wage, flexible 4x10s work schedule, and great job stability. The position will focus on instrumentation and controls maintenance on state of the art turbine control systems, pressure transducers, valves, level transmitters, and CEMS gas analyzer equipment. There is a dedicated team of electricians onsite but you will have the chance to support electrical maintenance as needed. Maintain and troubleshoot industrial instruments and analyzers including transmitters, PLC systems, meters, and automatic valves. Coordinate and perform preventive maintenance based on established procedures. Completing and documenting preventative maintenance activities associated with instrumentation and quality assurance programs. Read and Maintain P&IDs and Schematic wiring diagrams in compliance with SOP's, QA, and MOC policies. Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, calibrates, and tests a wide variety of industrial instruments that record, indicate, control and regulate level, flow, pressure, temperature, position, and water analysis. Calibrates, installs, and works with digital and analog signals along with 4 - 20 milliamp (mA) signals. Installs, inspects, and repairs all types of types of radar sensors, Mag Meters, Venturi tubes, proximity sensors, level sensors, Variable Frequency Drives, and pressure sensors. Ensure all QA annual functional testing requirements are met (i.e., isolation circuit test, etc.) Maintain spare parts inventory over systems assigned to their position as identified by management and or plant Engineering. Understand Process Loop interaction and impact on the process. Demonstrate a good understanding of PLCs and diagnostics. Assist in outage planning development with area planner. Use RCA methodology on failures and support plant reviews Prepare and execute projects to improve facility availability and reliability Schedule and Direct contractor activities in all related areas covered above when required This position requires a combination of office work and field work. The technician will operate and maintain our facilities in a safe, reliable, and environmentally friendly manner which will include a on call schedule. The job occasionally requires overtime and call-outs on weekend, nights, and holidays. Employee must be able to access elevated electrical and mechanical equipment via ladders, scaffolding and man-lifts. Position may also require providing turnaround support within the region. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to develop working relationships with maintenance and operations personnel in a team environment. #ENG1
