Job Description

Groundwater Treatment • Operations & Maintenance We're looking for a mechanically skilled Field Environmental Technician to support daily Operations & Maintenance at our groundwater treatment facilities in Syracuse, NY. You'll work closely alongside the plant electrician, assist with equipment maintenance and repair, and help keep critical treatment systems running safely and efficiently. Training is available for motivated candidates with transferable technical skills.
Pay:
$30.00- $32.00 per hour DOE What you'll do Assist the plant electrician with inspections, repairs, lockout/tagout, and equipment testing Operate and maintain pumps, valves, piping, filtration units, and process instrumentation Perform pump rebuilds, lubrication, component replacement, and mechanical cleaning Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues and document findings Conduct routine site inspections, verify system operations, and collect field data Support sampling crews, grounds maintenance, and general facility tasks as needed What you need High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Experience with water treatment equipment or mechanical/electrical systems Strong electrical awareness and safe work practices around energized equipment Ability to perform in-depth mechanical repair and equipment troubleshooting Nice to have

certification • Confined Space Entry training PLC or SCADA system experience Construction equipment operation experience
