Job Description

Job Summary The Mobile Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial coffee brewing and espresso equipment at customer locations. This role requires excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently while representing the company in a professional manner.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial coffee brewing equipment, espresso machines, grinders, and related beverage systems. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize equipment performance and reliability. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and electronic issues using appropriate diagnostic tools. Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation and quality standards are met. Educate customers on proper equipment operation, cleaning, and preventive maintenance practices. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, parts usage, and customer documentation. Manage service vehicle inventory by maintaining appropriate stock levels of replacement parts and tools. Communicate service findings, repair recommendations, and equipment status to customers and service coordinator. Follow all company safety procedures and comply with applicable OSHA, electrical, and food safety regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service vehicle. Participate in technical training to remain current on equipment, products, and repair techniques.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience repairing commercial coffee equipment, foodservice equipment, or related electromechanical systems preferred. Working knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, pumps, motors, solenoids, valves, and control systems. Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and service documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic computer and mobile device proficiency for service documentation. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Lift and carry up to 70 pounds. Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces.
