Configuration Technician II Position Summary:
This position is responsible for independently provisioning, configuring, and repairing IT devices across multiple clients and device types, including medium complexity builds and workflows. This role ensures high-quality output by consistently meeting throughput targets while maintaining compliance with established quality control and data security standards. This individual diagnoses and resolves low to medium complexity technical issues, supporting efficient device recovery and minimizing escalations. Additionally, the role contributes to operational efficiency by supporting workflow continuity, assisting junior technicians, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Responsibilities:
Independently provisions and configures IT devices across multiple clients and device types, accurately completing medium complexity builds with minimal supervision while meeting throughput expectations.
Produces work that consistently passes QC and 3rd QC with low defect rates, while ensuring full compliance with data destruction, rebuild, and disposition requirements.
Diagnoses and resolves low to medium complexity technical issues and completes repair work efficiently to maximize device recovery and reuse, escalating higher-complexity issues with clear documentation.
Maintains operational efficiency by balancing speed and quality while supporting workflow continuity.
Acts as a resource to junior technicians, providing guidance and identifying process improvements, while adapting quickly to new clients, tools, and procedures.
Key Outcomes of this Position:
Timely and accurate processing of orders to maintain Service Level Objectives set in place by MCPC.
Consistently follow documented processes to maintain a high degree of quality in output and customer satisfaction.
All work must be completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in a related field is a plus.
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated organization, time-management, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 Years of experience or relevant training or certifications.
Experience using ticket management systems and inventory management systems.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting requirements of up to 35 lbs.
May require standing for long periods of time.
Vision must be fair enough under a strong light.
