Manufacturing Full Job Description Main Function:

The Electro-Mechanical Technician will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair processing and packaging equipment in a high-volume food manufacturing facility producing sauces and flat pasta products. This individual will support equipment across mixing, cooking, pumping, filling, packaging, and pasta processing operations. The technician will perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs to ensure maximum uptime, reliability, and overall plant performance. This role works directly with plant operations and may be called upon to respond urgently to production or equipment issues as needed. This role is on-site Mon-Fri roughly 5:30am-2pm with overtime and weekends as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair equipment including sauce kettles, mixers, and cook systems; pumps, valves, and piping systems; filling and packaging equipment for cups, jars, and pouches; conveyors and labeling systems; and pasta processing equipment such as mixers, sheeters, pasteurizers, and dryers. Execute preventative maintenance and sanitation-related rebuilds, including seals, gaskets, and bearings. Diagnose and resolve electrical and control issues involving motors, sensors, relays, VFDs, and PLC I/O. Drive line changeovers, startups, and product transitions with minimal disruption. Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings. Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Act with urgency to minimize downtime and escalate issues before they impact productions. Maintain accurate work records in CMMS. Adhere to all GMP, food safety, and safety standards. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:

3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food or beverage manufacturing Strong mechanical aptitude with proven hands-on troubleshooting skills. Working knowledge of electrical systems ranging from 24V to 480V, including motors and controls Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues in a fast-paced production environment Experience working in washdown and sanitary manufacturing environments Experience with liquid processing and filling systems, including sauce, dairy, or beverage operations preferred Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting, including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Beckhoff systems preferred Experience with thermal systems, including steam systems and kettles preferred

Physical Work Environment:

Frequent exposure to wet, washdown, and temperature-variable environments Requires standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs Must be available for off-shift work, weekends, and overtime as needed

Pay:

$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
