Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electronic Engineering Technician to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced electronic systems and equipment. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and collaborating with engineering teams to build and maintain high-quality electronic products. The successful candidate will possess strong electronics troubleshooting skills, experience with PCB assembly and wiring, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of quality and craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities Perform assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of electronic systems and equipment. Build clean, professional-grade wire harnesses and cable assemblies. Populate and assemble MIL-Spec and high-reliability connectors. Perform through-hole (THT) and surface-mount (SMT) soldering and rework. Assemble, wire, and integrate electronic cabinets, enclosures, and test systems. Layout, modify, cut, and prepare electronic housings and enclosures. Troubleshoot electronic systems from the system level down to individual PCB components. Conduct testing, calibration, and quality control inspections of electronic assemblies. Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for equipment failures. Assist with the development, maintenance, and execution of test procedures. Read, interpret, and work from schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical documentation. Create and/or edit schematics and PCB designs when required. Maintain accurate documentation and records of repairs, modifications, and testing activities. Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment safely and effectively. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support product development and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications High School Diploma, Technical Degree, Associate Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Electronics Technician, Engineering Technician, Electromechanical Technician, or similar technical role. Strong knowledge of electronic troubleshooting and failure analysis. Experience building wire harnesses and cable assemblies. Experience with through-hole and surface-mount soldering techniques. Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other electronic test equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work legally in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Experience populating MIL-Spec or avionics-grade connectors. Experience soldering small-footprint IC packages, including Quad Flat Packages (QFPs). Experience troubleshooting at the PCB component level. Experience developing or maintaining electronic test procedures. Experience creating or modifying schematics and PCB layouts. Experience working on aircraft systems or supporting flight-line operations. Aerospace and/or avionics industry experience is a plus, but not required. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
Pay:
$52,000.00 - $61,360.00 per year
