Full Job Description Job Description:
The Sr Technician is the first line to the plant maintenance manager. As a lead technician, they are expected to bring the knowledge and skills to both repair and maintain our process equipment, while leading other younger technicians to do the same. This position is crucial to team development and to ensuring work is done both well and timely.
Responsibilities:
The following technical experience is required: Capable of installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial mechanical and electrical equipment. Proficient in reading electrical schematics and able to learn user friendly OEM software for programming. Diagnosing and repairing of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems Understanding of AC drives, DC drives, PLC ladder logic, and electro-mechanical control systems Able to follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications while troubleshooting malfunctions. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines; following electrical diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and using measuring and testing instruments. Replaces defective parts in an efficient and safe manner. Cleans up work areas before job is finished. Daily keeps up with their own CMMS work orders and the work of their team members. Job Qualifications 5+ years of industrial experience (preferred) Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Good project management and maintenance engineering knowledge Experience in using MS Office products such as Word and Excel
