Test Technician I:

Test finished solar panel modules by performing temperature, chemical stress, and other testing procedures Operate machinery used to test and measure solar panel performance Load and unload large solar panels using overhead lifts similar to overhead cranes, operated by remote control Load panels by hand and lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Set up and adjust tooling and replace machine attachments as needed Perform detailed testing and document results using Microsoft Excel Use digital calipers and other measuring devices to take accurate measurements Visually inspect solar panels and document changes, defects, or issues identified during testing Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and process issues, including recognizing error codes and determining appropriate solutions Help implement process and system improvements to achieve performance goals Safely clean and move materials and broken glass when necessary, including use of a pressure washer Notify supervisors of machine malfunctions, glass breakage, or other safety or production concerns Work as part of a small team to safely and efficiently complete testing and production activities May be trained to operate a forklift after being hired Requirements for

1-2 years of longevity at previous positions preferred Technical experience required Manufacturing laboratory, quality control, or similar technical manufacturing experience preferred Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools and troubleshoot machinery Previous quality inspection experience within a manufacturing environment Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills Ability to recognize machine malfunctions, error codes, and process issues and determine how to address them Excellent attendance and reliability Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to work effectively as part of a small team High School Diploma/GED required Steel toe boots required Ability to stand, bend, perform repetitive lifting, walk for long distances and climb small staircases Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
